A construção das memórias que não existem sobre Flora Maria Blumer de Toledo. Mulher preta, escravizada por 48 anos em fazendas do interior de São Paulo, alforriada poucos anos antes da Abolição Brasileira para se tornar cozinheira assalariada numa Escola Metodista no interior de São Paulo.
Em poucos anos de liberdade, Flora aprendeu inglês, viajou diversas vezes aos Estados Unidos com missionários metodistas, e se tornou a primeira mulher preta a ser admitida como membra numa igreja protestante no Brasil.
Enquanto se procura os vestígios de existência de Flora, encontramos os retalhos do que preenche as ausências. O racismo estrutural, o apagamento histórico, e o plano construído para destruir a memória negra e o isolamento histórico das mulheres pretas.
Um filme documentário que pretende questionar quem tem direito a ter memória no Brasil.

The construction of memories that do not exist about Flora Maria Blumer de Toledo. Black woman, enslaved for 48 years on farms in the countryside of São Paulo, freed a few years before the Brazilian Abolition to become a wage cook at a Methodist School in the countryside of São Paulo.
In a few years of freedom, Flora learned English, traveled several times to the United States with Methodist missionaries, and became the first black woman to be admitted as a member of a Protestant church in Brazil.
While searching for the traces of Flora's existence, we find the shreds of what fills the absences. Structural racism, historical erasure, and the plan built to destroy black memory and the historical isolation of black women.
A documentary film that intends to question who has the right to have memory in Brazil.
